CCC’s Pre-Conference Half-Day “Career Readiness” Seminar Geared to Provide Insight to Those Seeking Jobs in Oregon’s Fastest-Growing Industry

PORTLAND, OR – January 29, 2016 – The 2016 Cannabis Collaborative Conference (CCC) today announced a special “Career Readiness” seminar to be held on February 2, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Portland Metropolitan Exposition Center (Portland Expo Center), according to CCC producer Mary Lou Burton.

This special pre-show event, produced in partnership with Viridian Staffing, will provide professional tips from industry insiders on how to navigate the cannabis job market.  It will take place in Hall E – Room E101-102.

Viridian chief operating officer David Muret will present and conduct the seminar. Along with chief talent officer Kara Bradford, Muret founded Viridian in 2013 as the first professional, full-service staffing, recruiting and HR consulting firm in the cannabis industry. Viridian Staffing provides temporary, temp to hire, direct-placement and HR outsourcing services.

The seminar will be broken into two segments held twice each: a talk on cannabis career readiness, and personal interviews/resume-review session. Limited space is available, so all sessions are offered on a first-come, first-serve basis.

PORTLAND, OR – January 28, 2016 – The 2016 Cannabis Collaborative Conference (CCC) today announced former NASA plant scientist Neil Yorio and cannabis industry mergers and acquisitions attorney John Magliana will be among the guest speakers at event, which will be held February 3 – 4 at the Portland Metropolitan Exposition Center (Portland Expo Center), according to CCC producer Mary Lou Burton.

Now vice president, lighting research for BIOS LLC, for more than two decades Yorio worked at NASA and participated in several agricultural lighting research programs with bio-regenerative life support programs. He is an internationally recognized expert in electrical lighting systems and controlled environment crop production.

Magliana, a nationally recognized mergers and acquisitions lawyer and general counsel for public and private companies for the past 30 years, also represents cannabis companies, including Oregon’s largest producer. Magliana speaks nationally on business and tax-related topics.

Also on the docket of noted guest speakers are David Muret, COO of Viridian Staffing; Noah Stokes, CEO of CannaGuard Security; and Tyler Stratford of MJ Freeway; and Ryan Maher of MRX Xtractors. More than 70 other speakers are slated to present also.

Marijuana Investor Summit Boot Camp to Provide Prospective Investors and Entrepreneurs Insight into the Rapidly Growing Cannabis Marketplace

PORTLAND, OR – January 21, 2016 – The 2016 Cannabis Collaborative Conference (CCC) today announced a special Marijuana Investor Summit (MIS) Boot Camp for investors and entrepreneurs, which will take place on February 2 at the Portland Metropolitan Exposition Center (Portland Expo Center), according to CCC producer Mary Lou Burton.

The half-day seminar, produced in conjunction with the Cannabis Collaborative Conference and Signal Bay, the Marijuana Investor Summit Boot Camp will include presentations by successful cannabis industry experts and marijuana entrepreneurs who will provide essential industry knowledge to both startups and investors.

Oregon’s Top Cannabis Industry Conference This Year Anticipated to Draw More than 2,500 Attendees and 100 Investors, with a Job Fair, Workshops, Business-to-Business Networking, and a Keynote Address from Former NBA All-Star Cliff Robinson

PORTLAND, OR – January 18, 2016 – The 2016 Cannabis Collaborative Conference (CCC), a two-day convention and networking event focused on the business side of the fast-growing cannabis industry, will take place February 3 and 4 at the Portland Metropolitan Exposition Center (Portland Expo Center), according to CCC producer Mary Lou Burton.

Featuring more than 80 cannabis industry speakers, including a keynote address from former NBA All-Star/former Portland Trail Blazer and cannabis advocate Cliff Robinson, the CCC is expected to draw more than 2,500 attendees seeking to network and visit interactive workshops and hands-on demonstrations for the purposes of gaining knowledge and insight into one of the fastest-growing agricultural businesses in North America – the cannabis industry.

“Following on the heels of the Cannabis Creative Conference held this past summer, we are calling this a ‘working conference,’” Burton said. “Which illustrates we are growing collectively and are united to create a vibrant, successful industry.”

With more than 90 exhibitors, the CCC will showcase the newest available technology, from security systems to planting processes to retail point-of-sale.
