Mark Hackett focuses his practice on employment law, particularly for the cannabis industry. For over twenty years, he has used his extensive experience advising employers about the full range of employment law issues, including wage and hour laws, employee handbooks and workplace policies, medical and other leaves, and employee performance. Prior to joining Emerge Law Group, Mark worked as General Counsel and Human Resources Director for a large Portland natural foods manufacturer, owned his own law firm, and was a partner at Davis Wright Tremaine, one of the Northwest’s largest law firms. Prior to law, Mark managed a family wholesale distribution business, gaining valuable experience as an employer and business owner.
