Amber Wise has a bachelor’s and a PhD in Chemistry and has conducted research in the areas of environmental chemical exposures, toxicology, public science involvement and air quality, pesticides, public policy and risk assessment.  She was a university chemistry professor for 5 years and has taught many different undergraduate chemistry courses in California, Bangladesh and the South Side of Chicago.  She’s been the Scientific Director at Avitas Agriculture since November, 2016 and oversees their scientific endeavors in both Washington and Oregon.  This position brings her love of chemistry, botany, and the desire to raise the scientific bar in the cannabis realm together in one challenging and fun job.
